Many teams sports competing in BUCS have individual championships which run throughout the year. First of all make sure you get them approved on your travel estimate, if you do not then you wont necessarily be able to go. It is your responsibility to make sure your forms are handed into the A.U. office before the deadline. Leaving it until the actual date they have to be in is very risky and could mean you wont be able to compete. BUCS usually give over a month for forms to be handed in. So, there really is no excuse for late forms. You will be able to find your forms and dates they need to be in on the BUCS MAILOUT, which comes out every Tuesday. If you click on the BUCS website (www.bucs.org.uk) and then look at the toolbar you will see mailout as one of the options.
All forms for entries must be signed by the A.U. President, if you send them off independantly then you will not be able to claim any money back. If you have any problems or queries regarding individual championships then go and talk to the A.U. President. Each individual championship is totally different and requires different information for example accommodation, transport, equipment so make sure all of this is sorted early. With regards to transport and accommodation the A.U. President will generally book this for you. About a week before championships final details will be released once again in the mail out, run through these and check they are correct. If there are any problems let your A.U. President know and they can get in touch with BUCS.
