ELECTION OF AU PRESIDENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that Nominations are now open for the post of

PRESIDENT OF THE ATHLETIC UNION

For the academic year 2010/11. The post is a sabbatical one and ANY person who has been a member (for 3 months or more) of the Athletic Union in statu pupillari may stand as a candidate for this election.

Candidates should be nominated on the official form, which is obtainable from the Returning Officer – Richard Lancaster

NOMINATIONS must contain the name of the Proposer and ten seconders, together with their signatures and AU numbers. The nominations must be accompanied by a photograph of the candidate, plus £35 deposit. Candidates will be furnished with standing orders regarding the rule of Election.

NOMINATIONS must be handed into the Returning Officer before the close of nominations at

10am on MONDAY 25^th JANUARY 2010

WITHDRAWALS may take place up to 4.00pm on the 26^th JANUARY 2010

HUSTINGS will be held on Tuesday the 9^th February in Dining Room C

POLLING will take place in the Foyer of Fulton House on Thursday 11th February 2010 between the hours of 10.00am and 5.30pm. The counting of the votes will take place on the same evening.

POSTAL VOTES may be obtained by application to the returning officer and these must be returned by 1.00pm on the 11th February 2010.
