AU Exec 2010

Please make sure nominations are in to the AU Office by 3 June 2010.

There are ten positions in total:

Vice-President

• Involved in the Finance meeting to help decide how money is distributed
• Involved in the Management meeting to help the president
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Able to act as a stand in representative for the Athletic Union on behalf of the president at meetings and other occasions that the President may be unable to attend
• Organise and promote intramural sports.

Student Treasurer

• Signatory for the Athletic Union 
• Oversee all the spending of the Athletic Union
• Member of the Finance meeting to help decide where money is allocated
• Member the Management meeting  to assist the president
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Equipment ordering and stock

Secretary

• AGM and any other exceptional meeting of the AU
• Write up any information that may be required for different meetings
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Post notice of meetings
• Create agendas for each meeting.

Transport Representative x2 

• Organise and allocate AU mini bus bookings
• Process coach requests
• Check coach invoices
• Check Private car hire invoices
• Involved in both Finance and Management meetings to help the President in decision making
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball

Finance Representative x2

• Oversee the general financial expenditure of the Athletic Union
• Oversee all decision making during the Finance meeting
• Help the President during Management meetings
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Looking at what needs to be repaired
• Carrying out minibus checks weekly 

Discipline Representative x2

• Along with the President and Vice President they make up the discipline committee to deal with situations as they arise throughout the year
• Involved in both the Management meetings and the Finance meetings
• Help with some of the administrative work in the office
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Attendance at sponsor bars and nightclubs
• Liaise with our clients to ensure good behaviour

Press & Publicity Representative

• Actively advertise and promote all sporting events within the University through Emails, flyers and posters
• Actively promote Sportsnight to all AU members
• Collect information and articles for the AU news paper
• Put together press releases as and when they are required
• Involved in helping the president with large events such as the varsity and AU Ball
• Daily updates and weekly emails.
